Pungo District Hospital volunteers work in various departments with schedules ranging from a few hours a week to several days a year.

Adult Volunteer Opportunities

• Patient Relations
  – Serving juice/coffee and delivering books and magazines to patients
   
• Patient Transport
  – Escorting and transporting patients via wheelchair who are being admitted or discharged.
   
• Clerical Support
  – Filing, photocopying, answering phones, running errands.
   
• Information/Front Desk Support
  – Answering phones, greeting visitors, giving out patient room numbers, offering directions
